The final check
The most important version of a document is the final version that the author submits to the publisher. We often receive messages from authors saying, "I had my document checked by an English editing service, then I made only a few small final changes and submitted the article to the publisher, but the reviewer said that there were errors in the English." When we check the document, we almost invariably find errors in the author's "few small final changes". Reviewers who find even a few small errors in the English of a document often assume that the document has not been checked at all. When we edit a document, we advise the author always to use our free, fast follow-up service to check any final changes before submitting the document to a publisher.
